Coral scape

Once upon a time, there was a beautiful artificial reef called Boulanger's Reef, originating from the warm waters of Indonesia. This reef was not just a decoration; it was a masterpiece mostly composed of carefully cultivated maricultures. Each coral was nurtured with love and care by local artisans who had perfected the art of mariculture.

Boulanger's Reef was a feast for the eyes and could be presented in various ways. One of the most enchanting options was on a bed of blue sand, delivered in a flat glass dish. The blue sand symbolized the crystal-clear oceans of Indonesia, making the reef come to life even more. The soft shimmer of the sand and the delicate colors of the coral formed a harmonious and serene underwater world that could be admired at home.

For those seeking something unique, there was also the option to present Boulanger's Reef on a very fine black wooden plate. The contrast between the vibrant coral and the deep, dark background gave the whole piece an elegant and mysterious look. The black plate emphasized the beauty of the reef, making it a striking artwork that drew attention in any room.

Whether on blue sand in a glass dish or on a black wooden plate, Boulanger's Reef brought the beauty of the Indonesian seas directly to you. It was a tribute to the wonders of the ocean and a reminder of the delicate balance of our natural world. This artificial reef, with its cultivated maricultures, was not just a decoration, but a celebration of nature and the artistry of the people who made it possible.

From Reef to Art – A Second Life for Coral

Instead of being discarded, cultured/died coral fragments are given a new purpose: transformed into a unique piece of art for the home. Each fragment is carefully selected from sustainable aquaculture, where coral grows without harming natural reefs. By reusing these pieces, we not only bring the beauty of the ocean indoors, but also support environmentally responsible reef conservation. Coral gets a second life — not as a treasure of the sea, but as a symbol of respect and reuse.
